The warranty on new units is generally a limited 5 year parts and 1 year free labor. Rudd is giving a limited 5 years warranty on parts but extending it to a limited 10 year warranty when the unit is registered online within 60 days of installation. Heat&Air will register the warranty and can give the homeowner an e-mail for confirmation. The Ruud site covers warranties also. Some parts such as heat exchangers also have a limited lifetime warranty.
Used units heat&air will warranty for 60 days;
Federal tax credits on qualifying, high-efficiency HVAC & Water Heating equipment have been modified and extended through December 31, 2011 by the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. This program differs from the program effective in 2009-2010.
